Oil up another $11 a barrel tonight . Demand a 5-10% bump in your contract

Sure there would be a bump I agree

But it would not be anywhere near where we are heading now
You don't think people working from home burn less gas than those commuting back and forth to their office daily? Interesting.

True...sort of. If there wasn't a such push in the US to rush away from fossil fuels, the US would have less dependence on foreign energy. If the US was less dependent on foreign energy, things like the situation with Russia/Ukraine wouldn't have as much of an effect here.
The ironic part is, The US produces and consumes 20% of global oil production, therefore any supposed oil shortages/price increases are due to them sending oil elsewhere in the name of profits. How convenient of them to blame policies rather than greed for higher domestic prices.

It's easy to blame the Keystone Pipeline but, while it definitely plays its part, I don't think it's a direct cause of the recent jumps. Pandemic life saw a drop in the need for gas and, like every other supply chain, producers cut back on production. Now we're in the process of coming out of the pandemic and people are commuting again, which creates a need for gas where there is now less of a supply. On top of that, now the supply from one of the world's largest oil exporters is disrupted and we're just seeing the price respond to that.

As much as I'd like to blame Biden, the recent jump is primarily due to coming out of the pandemic and the Ukraine crisis.

I certainly don't think it is the only factor yes the other things factor in However not to the level it is, Don't forget the rises only Just begun

However, while its not the only factor It is a major factor

Honestly not going to get into the deeper things about Why the supply chain issues got ass bad as they are either

There are so many excuses going around its not worth spending hours on the day to dispel them all day long, On things like inflation is a good thing because Biden has the best economy ever and the like, I don't even know what to say any more there are so many layers of it its an exercise in futility

Yes. We are still paying for the 2016 election.

welcome to the results.

LOL you guys got to make up your mind

3 weeks ago they were all applauding the inflation because they said it meant Biden's economy was strong

now it no longer flys it has become Trump's fault

Who are "you guys"? And who is "they"?

Where do you see or hear these things? I'll admit my life doesn't revolve around politics or conspiracy theories. I don't go to meetings.

And my mind is made up. Trump was by far the worst president of my lifetime and we are still paying dearly for it and we will for decades.

But there's nothing I can do about it. So I don't wallow in it. My political comments here are simply made to make fun of the people that do wallow in it.
