Oil up another $11 a barrel tonight . Demand a 5-10% bump in your contract

3 or 4 people said it hear it was all over cnn msn radio and other yahoo had it dont act like ti didn't happen now

I am not advocating a Trump reelection mind you I probably would not vote for unless his opponent was a hillery or some activist type

A lot I hate about him but the economy did well under him

The economy his last year in office was awful. The economy was very good under Obama after he straightened out the mess left by W. Trump got to ride on that until his last year in office. Of course he mortgaged future generations with his tax gifts to himself and the rest of the ultra rich.

But still his last year was an economic disaster.

Now, one might say that was because of a worldwide pandemic? But the alt-right doesn't extend that mitigating factor to Biden so that would follow that it doesn't extend to Trump either. Surely they are not hypocrites??:1wink:

I certainly don't think it is the only factor yes the other things factor in However not to the level it is, Don't forget the rises only Just begun

However, while its not the only factor It is a major factor

Yeah, I agree. I would say it is a major factor over the longer course of time, though. These policies that keep reducing America's domestic production of oil and gas are certainly going to have a huge impact on prices over time (and I don't think it's the right way of getting to the desired outcome). But when we're asking "why the crazy jump right here right now", I don't think a sour keystone worker is going to be the source of a accurate or unbiased answer.

But who knows, honestly. We're all just armchair economists in here anyway.

Maybe not the best source but it still is a major factor not a lone factor I would say close to a 50% factor though

There are other articles

I could spend the time get msn or cnn articles to back it up, However, iit takes time because most of these are PR agents for the machine not usually easy to find, I've seen them but to find them when you need them takes time

But they are there I have done this on many subjects the information is there they just try and make it hard to find, and I again I have done it many times

I have found the time spent on providing the right info on the sources that the left won't argue even when you provide it a new excuse will appear

wast of time

While you're Googling why Big Oil claims it's all about federal policies causing an oil shortage, ask them when they intend to start drilling on those 9000 unused leases. Ask them why the price went up when the US domestic production is more than equal to domestic demands.

Yeah, it honestly seems like a problem both sides are having with how obscure and varying information is (the left is becoming worse with it lately). People will be presented with new information, but if it challenges their world view they refuse to accept it.

This might sound like a conspiracy theory, but I think news in the internet era has been engineered to keep people apathetic to what is actually important. When there are so many varying truths from so many sources of information, it becomes exhausting to keep up on what is real and what isn't. When you are exhausted, you stop seeking out the truth and become complacent in one world view and never challenge it.

I don't blame people for ending up that way, who would want to live in a world constantly not knowing how to make heads or tails of things. Our brains weren't meant for so much constant new information.

This is the truth

I had at one time kept up with it all but then one lie after another to get disproven with facts would only get layered with more half truth and truths by 2015 there was no way to stay on top of all of it, After Trump and the left media every day hundreds of claim to the ridiculous like Trump just said the moon is part of mars and Trump just told everyone to drink pool cleaner , I mean hundreds of claims daily too much

I am started to accept the lies are going to win eventually

But that is it exactly they will win by overwhelming us, Same as the Cloward and Piven strategy was meant to overwhelm our systems and takedown democracy

we are much further down the path than a year ago there is not stopping it

Hard disagree on that. The truth always wins, given a long enough time frame.

I agree with all the pessimism about the downsides of the Internet/social media enabling narrative control and making it hard to discern truth, but give it time. We're already seeing truth being exposed when it previously wouldn't have been.

We may not be THAT far away from a time when a real, decentralized marketplace of ideas can operate, when the free-flow of information makes truth rise to the surface decades (maybe centuries) faster than now/before.
