Open Enrollment Period...What Can I Do?

Yes I did, Saturday am. I told her that I couldn't promise her anything, but that I would just try it... and if perhaps it didn't go through then maybe we can go another route.
Did you have another suggestion for her?

That "dig" was really not directed at you but at all the other agents who after only a few months start to train and offer contracts.

They ask questions all the time as well, but they also call themselves trainers.

Rick
;)I'll forgive you this time!!! I have NOOOOOO plans of doing that (training and contracting) I have way too much to learn.

Some will be able to train after a few months, some will never be able to...and all kinds of scenerios in betweeen.

I don't know of anyone, on this forum or not, that knows everything. If you're not asking a question every once in a while...you're probably not doing much anyway.

No. Just curious. How long does New Era take to underwrite? I'm assuming you applied for a 2.01.10 eff date? You need to get your ducks lined up. Are you aware of that needs to be done to dis-enroll this lady from the PFFS and get her back on Medicare?

The turn around time, NORMALLY is about 7 days... but because of the time of year and holidays they are behind about a week or so.

This is what my plans were with this lady... I wanted to make sure that she was able to get the supplement before disenrolling her from her MAPD... (BTW she actually has a PPO.. MAPD) Correct me if I'm wrong:
I was going to get her on a different PDP along with a supp. but I don't want to disenroll her from the PPO YET for fear she may be declined for the supp. and I'm holding off on the PDP, because I'm not certain if she'd be able to go back to her MAPD.. I know you can only make one change during OEP, and I'm soooo scared of making a HUGE boo boo for this lady.

I'm terrible with words, so if I didn't make sense, just let me know.

Lol I was trained by 1 of those folks in doing Mortgage Protection. I think I made a total of 400 dollars with them on like 800 dollars in leads. Live and learn I guess.

I can't imagine training someone after a year doing insurance, and I feel like I understand some lines really well now.

You are following the proper route. Do not make a change in her MAPD until and unless she gets approved for her sup. Once approved for the sup, you can enroll her in a stand alone PDP and that will disenroll her from the MAPD. I would still send a letter of disenrollment to the MAPD and tell them she is reurning to original Medicare. She will need to sign that letter. I would probably get on the phone with Medicare with her present and do the PDP enrollment with Medicare. You won't get the $25, but, you will know it's done and you will know that Medicare has approved it.

This is Jessica's thread, but Rick must be Rick. Oh well what should we expect. Just another example of how all threads on this forum get highjacked for another agent's agenda.

Jessica, you are asking all of the right questions and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. Never be too embarrassed to ask questions, because none of us will ever know 100% of the answers. EVER!!!

Jessica, you are 100% correct in how you are handling this sale. I am in the process of trying to fix a screw-up that another agent with 18 years of experience made by doing the opposite of what you are doing. Get the med supp approved first. The lady is currently writing a testimonial about her experience, no names mentioned, for my website.

What he said X2.
NEVER believe what a prospect tells you they currently have. Always ask for then to pull out any and all Id cards.

In your OP, you stated she had a PFFS and a PDP. How she has a MAPD. You want to make sure this transition goes smoothly. You are the ringmaster. You don't want unhappy insureds.
