Open Enrollment...?

Medicare OE is not really comparable to families re-enrolling, changing plans, adjusting income etc for Ocare. You barely have to be awake for MA Plans.

People need at least two months to get their shitt together Ocare. I don't care when they start it, but it really shouldn't end before January 31st.

Agree about MA plans, but the volume issue is the problem for me - I help my Medicare supplement people find the appropriate drug coverage and that can be daunting and it's what we're paid the least for. I run their drug lists, and for the people taking many drugs with complicated medical situations it can be time consuming.

Most of my individual business will most likely stay off exchange, so after this year of mass cancellations of legacy plans, maybe that will stay more stable & not need attention next year. Not sure. But I do agree that OE for individuals and families shouldn't end before 1/31. This segment of the market isn't used to enrollment periods - many don't understand that they cannot make changes outside of the enrollment period.
