Organizing Your Briefcase

How do you experienced agents organize your briefcases? What do you keep in them at all times? Of course apps and pens etc, but I want to see if someone has a simpler way than what I'm doing.
So far I have a folder for each carrier, and each one has apps, brochures, and rate sheets inside. I have individual apps clipped to all necessary forms and disclosures, to make a packet with everything I need for each app. Ive got an accordion file that has extra forms inside along with the agent guide for each carrier. I keep a health cheat sheet inside my clipboard to look up any conditions and find a carrier that will accept them.

I haven't used a briefcase in 15 years. I carry a satchel type thing a ma jig. I do Med Supps and FE and am contracted with too many of each to carry them all in with me. I carry apps for my favorite 3 of each with me, I also have a cancer app, STNH and DVH with me. I have a cheat sheet and rates with me. I've got everything else out in the car if I need it.

I don't use a briefcase either. In the areas I go into I'd be shot before I got to the door. I keep a build chart handy for all carriers and plans. For the bigguns it's the first thing I check.

The briefcase did come in handy when a big dog or a goose came at you!

Yup...you never know if it's man or beast, but down here they are often one in the same.

I carry these leather zippered 3-ringed things you buy at Staples for about $50 each. I put 3-companies in each. Have three for Indiana and 3-for KY.

That's what I use, only I stopped getting the ones with the 3-rings...takes up too much space.
