Orthodontic Insurance

Oh oh, I can answer this one!

Just learning about Anthem's plans because I have to quote a 5 employee small group and dental plan came up as an option.

This is strictly Anthem....
Dental Net: Adult and Child $1850 (24 month of usual and customary orthodontic care)
Dental Blue Silver: Member Pays 50% of negotiated fee after deductible of $1000
Dental Blue Silver Plus: Not Covered!
Dental Blue Gold: Member Pays 50% of negotiated fee after deductible of $1000.

:D:D:D:D:D

If someone really wants dental with ortho (not stand alone that I know of) offer them something like Humana Preventive Plus. At least they get a discount if they use a network provider. That's about the best they can hope for.

Been there and done that. Nobody buys if it won't be covered, waste of time to even send the quote link.

Is there an actual insurance benefit or just a discount?

Sound like a discount plan to meeeee

20%....wow! I definitely couldn't get that kind of discount by paying cash on my own. Where do I sign? I hope this isn't a limited-time offer.
