Orthodontic Insurance

Ortho is a limited benefit even on the best plans. Your best best in group is to have a FSA/cafe type plan where you can at least get some tax savings on the dollars spent.

Individually an HSA plan would do the same thing and you don't have to have dental insurance.

Most orthodonic offices offer payment plans as well as they know they are a cost that is far greater than covered by insurance.
 
Maybe when they ask about dental, ask them what health insurance they have? Could be an HSA sale as a HSA account allows use for dental expenses. I've sold an HSA plan simply because it helped with cost for dental.
