Out of State Licensing

In agent setting of an insurance company, I saw the following disclosure which made me wonder:

" Agent - Appointments and Licensure

Appointed States: CA

Please Note: AK, AZ, CO, IL, IN, MD, MO, OR, and RI are non-appointment states and may not be reflected as an Appointed State below. "

Would it mean I can sell in these state without registering as a Non Resident Licensee?

No, you must have a license in any state you quote or sell in.

Some states require an appointment with the company in those state and also often require a fee. Appointment has nothing to do with licensing.
