Olympia, Harry Reid, Obama, "It's Unrealistic," does anyone else feel like we're in the middle of a plot written by J.K Rowling?

I could have sworn I've read this plot before somewhere......

Not J.k. Rowling, but the beginning part of a Vince Flynn novel. I'm just waiting for the hero to arrive. So far, all I can say is it ain't Sarah Palin, though I know many lefties would disagree with me. For some reason, the lefties think Sarah Palin is the Savior.
