I was being facetious when I said it was a feature. It's a side effect of sloppy computer programming that is going to cause many headaches for this administration unless they can find a way to fix it extremely quickly.

It seems that all children are being put on medicaid. I think this is a "treatment feature" sort of like ALLI causing discharge

How about if the child does not qualify for Medicaid or similar programs?

Since a huge number of these Medicaid enrollments are not actually reaching the state Medicaid departments, there may be a lot of kiddos without coverage on January 1st. You are correct unic.consulting about the uproar when the first claims are denied.

Yes, the uproar will hit when the claims get denied (why they get denied is a moot point). Nothing gets media attention like sick children and politics, double whammy if politics is hurting sick children.

It's not getting reported right now because nothing bad has happened yet. It may be in limbo, it may not materialize, but everyone assumes that what the government has told them is true, it'll all be fine and not to worry.

children being left off = more profit for insurance companies and less commission payable to the agent. Something needs to be done about this. Its a HUGE issue and we as agents are getting royally screwed!


You finally get a family to enroll then learn oh.. I'm only getting 2 instead of 4 or 5. Its a joke. family plans are the ones that keep us in business.
