Saver plan not worth it. Preferred is only option. Glad the rates came down on it.in florida UHC is paying and consolidating their plans into 2 plans - Saver and Preferred.
Saver will be $112.60 and Preferred will be $92.20
They expect the Preferred to be very competitive.
Even though its the cheaper plan, it will have the larger formulary, bigger network of pharmacies, lower copays and no deductible
Since you said clients, where's the possible smiley face one for clients looking at a no price change WellCare one?Clients looking at their ANOC'S

my guess is their intent is to sunset the saver plan over the next few yearsSaver plan not worth it. Preferred is only option. Glad the rates came down on it.
The only way it would make sense to pay a $100 premium is if the copay is low, but the "manufacturer discounted drug price" is the amount that goes towards the TROOP. Meaning they pay $40 copay, but $700 goes towards TROOP. Yes, that's happening.Who the hell would pay $100/mo for a PDP plan ($1200/year), and still have a $2k OOP? There will be cheaper plans with same OOP, and a formulary to match their meds.

Never comes across any of these scenarios, my clients prefer to save $$1. people who have been on the aarp preferred plan for a long time and are happy with it
2.people who are very loyal to the aarp name
3.people who have the the aarp medicare supplement and are anal about their medicare supplement and part d card being color cordinated and from the same carrier.
4. people who need a robust formulary and don't like the thoughts of deductibles -especially the plan f and plan j folks
Well, we'll see just how competitive it is in a few weeks. The UHC market manager here is optimistic for the Preferred plan in 2025Never comes across any of these scenarios, my clients prefer to save $$
