You need a scope if one of the attendee's says to you I want to sign up, don't know about your carrier, but if I write one at the end of the seminar (which you are allowed to do) my carrier require's it accompany the application.
Every scope I have seen does need a signature.

I guess the consent form and SOA you all are discussing are two different forms?
My understanding this applies when you do group seminars and someone wants to talk more with you on an individual basis. So they sign this PTC and you call them later or set up apt with a SOA.
This is so stupid.....I can't write anymore.l
First off, yes they are discussing two diff forms. Secondly, that makes no sense. To sign a scope before you take the app? The scope is basically agreeing that they agree to the appointment and to what is going to be discussed before it is discussed. Why would you need to get that signed after the seminar before you take the app? Guess your carriers are diff. I haven't given and MA seminar in over 3 years so who knows. In my nearly 6 captive years with Humana I never had a signed scope when taking an enrollment after a seminar presentation and was advised not to. Not needed. On the application it does ask where the predestination was done. In home, Seminar, etc.
I believe PTC is good for 90 days. When that passes you're done. You wait for them to call you or send them a letter with a BRC which creates a new PTC when they return it. Still no signature required for PTC. The only circumstance I can think of where a signature is even practical is at the end of a F2F meeting that doesn't end in a sale. You would need permission to follow-up with the prospect which could be done by having them sign the form. However, simply asking them for permission to call them back and documenting it would be sufficient.WC...I understand a PTC is valid for like 3 months once they give permission. After that the clock stops ticking unless you get another PTC. So I guess you need a signed form if they keep delaying app't or won't commit to one.

"I know they spoke of the consent to contact yesterday, but said nothing in Medicare seminar about this, only the scope."

It's only used for Medicare prospects. I can email it to you if you want. It's a 5x8 card.
