Personal Lines - Broker Fees

Because if you charge a broker fee, you are taking money out of their pocket to pay the premium (perhaps)...

I would look at that DEC page and say and show them, the other guy charged you so and so for a broker fee, we wont do that.....and hopefully watch the referrals come.........

I can charge a broker fee on E&S commercial lines here, but we cant on PL, I think I would be OK charging on CL and not PL.
 
Yeah, I would never fee a preferred piece of business. The place were I would charge is rewrites and specialty policies...maybe substandard mono lines as well.

Preferred PL & CL, I'd let it alone.
 
No one is talking about preferred carriers. Why are you arguing with yourself? Again, on non standard carriers and commercial policies, it is ok to charge. On preferred carriers, you can lose your appointment if you charge a Broker Fee.
