Pictures of Final Expense

Oooooook....let me lighten this up a bit. We all can see where this is gonna go so...

I wish I had the picture still so you all will have to use your imagination.

I'm sitting on a couch with a lady. Have a trainee with me. Side by side home just outside downtown Columbus. Lower westside. (I should be an author LOL) The smell is a typical FE client with a couple dogs and couple cats that I pray to God they don't come by me as I am a germ-phobe. (I know, then why am I in the FE biz right?) On her fireplace mantle in front of me is a big framed picture like 2'X 3' and a 5"x5" wooden box in front of it.

As we start to warm up and talk about her family, she tells me about her whole family...including her deceased husband and how he had no coverage when she though they did but he let it lapse. So she can only afford to cremate him and she points to the wooden box on the mantle. So I say..."oh wow, so is that a picture of him behind you have behind his urn I'm assuming?" She reply's...."what? No. That's a poster of his favorite movie Scarface."

lolololol You should've seen the look on my trainee's face. HAHA! For the record...I've seen Scarface a million times. Was just lightening up the mood of the sale. Ok, ok...maybe having a little fun too. Sorry! WE TALK ABOUT DEATH EVERYDAY ALL DAY! Gotta have some fun from time to time. But to relate to the Thread...I had a picture of the urn, poster and the wife after I sold her. I asked if she would pose for a picture. It was a few years ago.

Alright...now, can we get back to the Thread topic please?

Back to the thread start, I love it. I haven't ran into any that bad yet, but I will remember to snap some shots of some crazy folks, signs, snips, whatever else that might get a laugh.

I could get some great shots on my cell- I've seen a lot in the many years doing FE- No visual- But on saturday I had the tallest Big Bird creature I've ever seen- 6'4 beast of a woman- had the whole raised ass where she would reach over her shoulder to get her wallet high..

Got through the app and PHI- and she got up to get her checking account and she beefed walking past me- her ass and my nostril were parallel .. She crop dusted me... took me almost 3 hours of a shower to rid the stank-

In lieu of JDeasy's FE picture he sent me, I'd like to start a "Pictures of Final Expense" thread.

Why? Because most people don't believe the crazy stuff we see. All on a regular basis.

I'll start with a picture I took back in November. I was up in Sweetwater, TN, and came across a lead card's next door neighbor.

Would you drive up and meet this person?

Please share your pictures. I'll add some more as time goes on.

You betcha. While I am looking to pick the low hanging fruit first and yes a few real low hanging fruit can definitely spoil me, I would pass that one on by. Cost of doing business. I have seen some real crazies after knocking on the door, I am not going to go looking for it.

Lol...I am sitting here laughing my ass off and my wife is giving me the strangest look. She crop dusted you pretty good to need a 3 hour shower.

Today's Pictures --

Harriet Tubman Projects in Chattanooga, TN.

Boarded up about a year ago; before that the area was a hotbed for violence and gangs.

See the picture of the boarded-up home on the left? That's two doors down from a lady I pitched during my first 3 months in the biz.

She had no checking account, qualified her anyway. Tried 10 times to get her to catch the bus to open an account; swore up and down she would. Never happened.

Anyway -- back to the boarded up home. About a year ago, in that home, 2 doors down from this prospect I tried valiantly to close, a father beat his two boys (think they were his) to death, one dying in intensive care, the other dying on the way to the hospital.

They were 3 and 5, if memory serves correct.
