Plan N United of Omaha

There is no need for anyone to have to guess how commissions are handled.

Toward the end of the "Compensation/Product Schedule" for MOO you will see "B. Commission Rules". Paragraphs 7 & 8 clearly state how it is handled.

If anyone doesn't have a copy of that send me an e-mail and I will send you one.

I have cut the umbilical cord with a company in which I guess you would say I was a "captive agent"...now i'm independent and i'm loving it! Been doing this for 5 years now -- but i'm having to learn about all these other companies. So far, i've been mostly impressed with United of Omaha, though I wish their commissions were better. It's a hard pill to swallow going from 22% to....not.

The key is sell sell sell... rack up the numbers so the commish on one sale isn't an issue. Nor is taking an advance. Getting to a point in this business where you don't have to make advanced income truely gives on a whole new peace of mind.

I've got clients on the books that due to the way I got them (internal replacements, but I'm the new agent) I make a whopping $5/mo off of then I have others where I make $35/mo... it all pans out.

When I was building my book I used the $5/mo rule of thumb. If I had another company whose price was within $5/mo of another of my companies that paid me more commissions... sell the plan that pays me the most.

Now... it's price price and price. Unless you have a company like Gerber paying 8.5 for external replacements... then I rarely look at them for anything.

I agree 100%, except:

We have the top level Mutual Contract.

Help me out here. It is my understanding that there are only two National Marketers under the MofO Companies for MedSupp's -- SMS and AmeriLife. There are many FMO's under these two Nat Marketers.

So are you saying you're a Nat Marketer for Mutual?

Yes we are a national marketer for Mutual. We have the same contract as Ameri-Life,SMS, and a few others. We are direct to Mutual.

There are more than a few people who claim to have the top deal who do not. I know all of the people who do and there are not that many of us.

We keep a very low profile and take very good care of our brokers.

Again call me if you have any questions.
