Please Help...77yr Male Looking for Final Expense

Wow. I've never really listened to him though, he's huge in the churches and is on Christian radio all da' time.

$1k car? LOL......I mean hahahahaha

Really?

I've had a $1k car before, and I can tell ya most people buy
cheap cars from the "Buy Here Pay Here" places.....does he have a hook up with them too?

You're supposed to pay cash. Trade in whatever you've got if it has a note, even if you're upside down on the note. Then go and buy a $1000 ride with cash.

You are also to get a night job deliverying pizzas until you are out of debt.

I suppose if you follow his method, you will get out of debt, but you will work yourself to the bone to do it.

My first question is why is the guy wanting term versus whole? I too can see if he is a Dave Ramsey listener and agree if you don't know how to handle debt he has some good points. I know there are some companies that will do term up to 80 yoa but if he is in good health its like playing russian roulette. He doesn't know how long he is going to live. With the term it will expire.

I think if it were me, I would ask the guy more questions and find out what his issues are. Also someone mentioned some companies that were B rated, I would ask the client why is he so picky. Most people have never heard of 98% of the insurance companies out there. Just show him how long they have been around and maybe their financial strength. Hope that helps.

Hi Guys and Gals

I have a client who wants 5k to 10k in coverage for funeral expenses but doesn't want whole life, he wants a term for 10 to 15yrs. He's 77yrs in good health and wants to pay around $75 bucks.....is this even possible?

You've got an interesting business model, shop your clients on the forums. Wish I'd have thought of that one.

I think the real problem is finding rate sheets. The carriers I'm contracted with will only hand out a limited number of them and you have to wait for an agent to get their contract terminated AND return their materials in order for anyone to be able to receive the new rate sheet. It's a shame they can't put them online or mail them out.

That has not worked for me. I can not afford the DuraWare digital downloads. I download the free VaporWare rate sheets. Works really neat, for about an hour or two, then starts to fade to black. Then I can not download it again till I actually submit an App. At least that is what they tell me. :embarrassed:
