Been several years since we've done this type of thing so I'm out of the loop.....

What is the most cost effective way for sending these ? Waves of 1000/wk ? for 26wk campaign

The US Postal Service offers some very competitive pricing for direct mail. You upload your artwork or mail piece, they print and drop the mail at the press of a button. Hard to beat them on price and efficiency.

Price is a bit on the high side -- $1/pc. on the premium for 4.5x6. And that's without list.

You should be able to get 2,000 out the door for ~$0.40 each. This includes 4.25x6 full color both sides, list, mailing service and automated postage rate of $0.199.

Least expensive printer I have found: Printrunner.com

Does anyone use these for the health side of business successfully?

I use VistaPrint.com. I do very well when I mail to people who have visited my website.

My ROI drops precipitously when I mail to other lists, although it can be profitable.

The list is the most important ingredient in the recipe.

If you keep a list of people you've had contact with, but who haven't bought yet, you should mail and email to them.

You sell to:
  • The person who was shopping a year before make a decision about retirement/self-employment.
  • The person who
    1. Bought from another agent,
    2. Dropped the coverage because they got group insurance
    3. Got laid off again
  • Couldn't afford it then, but can afford it now.
