Potential Employer asking for NPN?

Is this normal? What if they ask for my resident state license number?
They are based in VA and looking for a non-resident agent. (Account Manager duties)

On another note -
My company is 100% Employee Benefits - a book of about 20k.
I realize I suck at selling and am desperately seeking an account management position.
I am fully licensed in P&C and Health & Life in Florida.

Have non resident licenses in GA & AL.

8 years of history including Director of Accounting, AM, AE.

If anyone knows of anything please help me out.

Thanks.

Yes, they probably just want to verify. Once you have your initial license, it's a pretty straight forward process to get a license in another state. You're not going to have to take more classes and exams for most states. Just let them know you don't have a license number for VA, but you will obtain one if required.

Let us know how it turns out
