Progressive

:wideeyed::goofy:;)

The thread relates to automobile insurance, but are you certain that life insurance is cheaper if you buy direct? I was under the impression that it was same just as health insurance is the same whether purchased direct or through an agent.:skeptical:

He didn't say life insurance was cheaper if you BUY direct, but if you BY direct.

There is a big difference.

Rick

You're absolutely correct, Rick. I have become more tolerant of misspellings since joining this forum, otherwise I would never be able to get through half the posts!

His reply was really confusing.:no::no::no::no:

Not to post on an old thread, but if you are still interested, I am in Florida, and the Progressive reps told me that there are different rates for direct and through an agent (written through a different company). It depends on the rating factors of which is cheaper, but usually direct is cheaper. This is coming from the rep at Progressive, from quoting up against them, direct is cheaper, but in my area, Progressive's rates are subpar either way.

I sell their products in over 30 states and I can say that they do have good technology and friendly customer service. I represent many carriers, so I try to find the right product for the right customer.

In Washington they are cheaper through an agent than direct. Having different rates between channels seems harsh for anyone trying to sell the product, are they the only company that does this?
