Proposal Letters

No worries dsj aka Dan. I like to read ur post. Although sometime a bit long but informative for the new people.

Us who been in biz for a while we tend to make it short and sweet.

You guys should most certainly do whatever works best for you. Our quote packages include all kinds of information you might consider "overkill". Those goofy packages help us currently convert slightly over 70% of our quotes and are giving me +14.4% PIF growth YTD..so...I'll stick with what works for me:cool:

Actually, I think many of my competitors operate exactly the way some of you do:1baffled: God bless them

Oddly enough, almost 95% of our new clients that complete our new client surveys rate the quote package info. as "very helpful" in helping them make their buying decision.:nah:

Guess I keep too many stats on my business?

Not sure I follow your logic. There are plenty of folks that have "been in biz for a while" that are as verbose as Dan, if not more. I'm not sure how long Dan has been selling insurance, but it seems like he's been in it for quite a while.

4 sentences is verbose?

I was actually talking about the proposal letter. How does the actual page look for commercial policy proposals. The layout of the page. Someone asks for a quote, you get the quote and go back o the client. THe quote that you prepare. I'm sure you dont just give them the same quote you got from the carrier.

We've been using the same boilerplate quote proposal from the company for the last 10 years. Maybe Erie just has one of the best proposals going:1wink:
