Protect UHC Renewals with a Corporation?

Being new and ignorant... are there ANY states which allow commissions to be paid if you are NOT licensed?

Depending on how you look at it. The answer can be yes and no. Some states will allow you to contract agents and recieve override commissions in that state without being licensed.

Thanks everyone for the replies and advice.

I have decided to stop selling MAPDS and concentrate on Juice, Lotions and Potions because there at least my heirs will have something to show for my work.

My new business card headline:

If you want to wake up every morning with soft, supple skin.........
Marry a 19 year old cheerleader who stays out of the sun!

WHADDYA THINK????

I still don't see the recert rule in the CMS 2011 Medicare Marketing Guidelines for Medicare Advantage... plans. Maybe Ritter has...

UHC neatly ties the CMS 2011 200 page guide to their all other requirements. UHC in their new Amendment to... Agreement (Aug 31, 2010) simply states Company will continue to pay the "Renewal Year Commissions"... (if) all other requirements applicable to earning Renewal Year Commissions have been met.

What? "all other requirements"

Instead of worrying about the white light maybe we need to read the fine print! I call this Agent Creep! Little by little they introduce and implement new terms and agreements. And then they got ya. They got ya before you hit them pearly gates!

And I might add they give you 30 days to say NO to their dirty tricks (read your copy) otherwise you accept the new "Agent Creep" terms and conditions.

It's simple, stop selling this crap! :goofy:

That's a great question to ask when you go to one of their certifications! Too many of the agents that go to these classes are like sheeple!! They ask NOTHING at all. I asked if renewal commissions would be passed to a beneficiary upon death of the agent. She just said what I wanted to hear by saying "YES". When I asked her where the wording could be found in contract, she didn't know, then told me to call CMS. I called CMS already for another carrier so told her that they don't know. These companies and their reps don't care about agents and only want immediate production, but will can your butt when you stop producing.

And is any of this a surprise? I've been away from the Part C&D plans for quite some time, but I know I've seen on the board people checking into renewal commissions before and being told they needed to recertify to recieve renewals...Maybe it truely is no longer a CMS mandate...But it can still become a mandate from the carrier as soon as you turn your back.
