Personally, when I did apples to apples I thought they were a little higher. They "rarely" gave preferred (I don't like using never, but I never saw it) and their service was horrible in every way.
Interesting, thanks for your input.

An article about how great the LTCi market is written by the "ltcshop.com" Great source.
Lol. I guess no one knows the LTC market better than agents. Certainly not the carriers that are pulling on en masse. They must have it all wrong.
Put into perspective of carriers pulling out of other lines of insurance? It's a flood of carriers leaving.
Google it - you'll quickly find 'em, and you already know anyway, all the carriers who have pulled out. But the Kool Aid always tastes great.
Am I saying the product is bad? I'm saying the exact opposite. Every senior needs it. I worry about it with my parents. LTC needs to go main stream. But facts are facts regarding how this market's been performing for the carriers.
"Approximately five major carriers issue more than 75% of all the LTC insurance sold in the United States, while ten carriers represent more than 95% of the current market. Of the 125 carriers that once sold LTC insurance, most have left the market, sold their LTC business, or are offering coverage to a limited market (group only vs. individual)."

So yes...a flood.
