I have a client that has Stage 0 Leukemia, as well.
Even though it is considered inactive and does not need treatment, insurance companies still see it as active cancer and will decline coverage.
You will most likely need to use a GI type plan.

My mom has leukemia. What carrier could I put her with? What is a GI?

GI stands for guaranteed issued. It is basically a whole life policy that does not require any medical history of the applicant. It is modified however so that coverage does not go into effect for 24 months. If death occurs during this period, generally all premiums paid will be returned plus 10%. Vantis seems to be one of the go to carriers for this type of policy.

Thanks for the info. I will find a gi company to add. Make it a great day!!

you could not be more wrong, they can be covered and it happens all the time if you know what your doing, they will be table rated 6-8 and they will have to go thur underwriting, i've done 2 this year , dont jump stright to GI with hard to place cases, call your marketers and have them shop your case around, you will be very happy you did the right thing.. question message me

I do not disagree with you on testing fully underwriten on larger face amounts. However, on FE size cases it could be a lot tougher. Who did you place your cases with?
