Quotit Joins the Forum

Not so much anymore... I really burned out of high tech. However, as for Q-it and N-vax, both are pretty good systems from a tech standpoint. They both lack in the "people" component.

Try this. Go to the Quotit site and send a question to them as if you are a prospective customer and see how long it takes them to get back to you. I hope if is sooner than it did for me... which was never! (N-vax is was not much better.)

Both these firms are run by techies... not by business people in my opinion... but by coming here both are getting better at it as they will hear what they don't know from the members of this board and both will be a lot better for it... as both have improvements they can make on the support and sales side.

The Jackass

We do lease our tech, but Quotit is run by businessmen- Insurance professionals. I'm a recovering techie as it sounds like you are... MIS degree, but couldn't program my way out of a paper bag anymore. COBOL's just not in that big of a demand anymore, or BASIC.

Glad you can see the reason why I'm here. This has already been a useful experience for me.

Sorry you feel we lack in the people component. That is actually one key way we try to differentiate. We have also added people in the customer side and on the tech support side in recent weeks. You will find us better for it. Our growth has been great on the business end of things, but we know we need to match that on the resource side.

There are some people who wouldn't be satisfied no matter what. Sometimes the glass is actually half FULL.

I have had nothing but a good experience wtih Quotit. I only need them for their quote engine which is attached to my websites. When I had questions I was able to either reach someone immediately, or received a quick call back.

Same with signing up. No pressure was put on me and I was able to get things going without hassle.

As I said, there is no pleasing some people.

I will say when I was on Quotit their service never went down, not one time. Servers were very reliable, which in our business is critical.

The best I can describe right now is both services are very close, neither is perfect - it is all about what YOU are trying to accomplish. I still recommend to demo both and see which is a better fit to your liking.

To me the quote engine is essential even if you do not do web marketing or web traffic just for the ability to "switch gears" when someone throws you a curveball. To me it is all about time savings and what is the ROI on your time.

I will say that I NEVER had so many offers for penis enlargement and canadian drugs than allowing quotit to host one of my email accounts. It was absolutely unbelievable - no spam filter whatsover.

My chiropractor went to Penn State. Wears his Penn State watch every day. But...he knows where he is. Atlanta is a nice city...well, parts of it. I feel about parts of Atlanta like Al feels about Birmingham. Go Braves!!!

When heading that way, we'll let you know. And you do the same when heading west.

Part of our little scheme to put a Penn State campus in every corner of the country. Be afraid, we are going to take over the world.
