Quotit Joins the Forum

"Per month" is not a good sign.

Nor is:

"That quote is for me and the family isn't it?"

"I'm on a few medications, but I can't pronounce the name of them."

"That quote is for me and my goat isn't it?"

"I'm shopping because my group rate went up. Ridiculous! It's now over $100 per month."

"You don't have to worry about my pre-existing conditions. They're covered by Workman's Comp."

I actually like zapquote better than quotit mainly because I've used it for so many years. However, it is not as "pretty" so I have Quotit on my public sites. Rick

Glad you're a customer, Rick.

There are some "economy" options out there. The one you mention here and a few others. Like any purchase, and as I am guessing you tell your health insurance prospects, it ain't just about price.

What is one man's "prettiness" is another man's professionalism and image. What is "needless expense" to one man is a demand for quality, accuracy, flexibility, customer service, training, breadth of products and plans, etc.

Some agents use bar napkins and still make the sale. Kudos to them! I find napkins hard to write on, myself. They curl, rip, and the ink bleeds into the napkin. Go with a paper coaster at least!

Seriously though - before you buy, make sure you have thought about price AND value.

I think it really takes some grandes huevos to open Quotit up to our "wrath." I have their quote engine on my website and think it's swell! Service is great.

Used Norvax a few years ago and still waiting for tech support to respond to my questions.

By the way, more posts like this will be available to Quotit for a small decrease in my monthly charge.

Rick

Rick, and all agents, for your positive comments about Quotit, consider "your check in the mail," to arrive around the same day as you receive that tech support answer.

I heard a rumor Quote It was bought out, true?

Yes, Quotit was purchased by the Word & Brown Insurance Administrators.

We have some people who mistakenly believe that Quotit was purchased by a "General Agency." Our competitor has been saying this quite often lately. This is not true.

The Word & Brown Insurance Administrators, marketed as the Word and Brown Companies, is a privately-held company headquartered in Orange, Calif., that provides services to nearly 55,000 employers covering more than 6 million people across the nation. The Word & Brown Companies includes Word & Brown Insurance Administrators, Inc.(R); CHOICE Administrators(R) and its subsidiaries - CaliforniaChoice(R), CaliforniaChoice 51+, Kaiser Permanente Choice Solution and Contractor's Choice(R); CONEXIS; and most recently, Quotit Corporation. Quotit is the fourth and most recent company in The Word & Brown Companies' portfolio, which includes multiple U.S.-based divisions centered in the health insurance services industry.

Quotit continues to serve independent agents and general agents of all types and sizes. Every agents' and general agents' data is private and secure to themselves and will remain that way. This year, Quotit received the ISO 9001:2000 certification which ensures quality, maturity, process, and data security going forward.

With the purchase by W&B Companies, Quotit Remains a Wholly-owned Subsidiary, and over time through significantly increased resources, we will be able to offers brokers expanded and improved services. It's ALL GOOD to our customers.

This is the full story. If you'd like to email me through this forum, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may still have.

Thank you!

I was once contacted by one of your salespeople about advertising on the forum, perhaps over a year ago, when Norvax was also trying to advertise. Quotit seemed to have better reviews on the forum at the time, so I asked him a bunch of questions about your products, he told me he would get back to me with some answers. Perhaps he will when that tech support arrives.

Nevertheless, you got my kudos for the humor... not a lot of companies "get it" like you seem to.

Melmunch, I left you a private message with my number, let's talk. So many things hinge on that one poor tech support guy. I think he needs a raise. Let's all pitch in so we can all finally get some things done. Geeesh. - M from Q
