I need a new phone that I don't have to hold to my ear. Any recommendations? I thought there was a thread on this already but couldn't find it.

does it have to be a headset? a simple cordless phone with a speakerphone button works for me.

I use a Sennheiser IP550 made for IP phones, but it works well with my copper wire phone. I like that I can hook two devices to the amplifier and switch between. That is, I can use the same headseat for the computer and phone.
The noise cancelling is excellent as well if you share and office or have any background noise.
