According to NBC News, the reconciliation process has been used 22 times.

For 21 of those times the Senate revisions have gone back to the House for a new vote.

Tried to find more specifics, but haven't come up with anything yet.

It will be nasty if they cant land on a reconciliation bill after all this. And of course the senate wins if they cant because if a reconciliation bill is not enacted then it is the senate bill that stands as law. It is kind of a strange set up because there is no love between the dems in the senate and the dems in the house and everyone knows it and it shows in all their actions even though they try to unite against the republicans. If the senate does not live up to the promissary note that they gave the house then that would not be pretty but it would serve everyone right if the shell game fell apart and we had another food fight between the dems.

Of course if they get into trouble again the republicans can always go over again and help them to pass a bill that even their own members dont want, just as they did last time.

What a mess.
