Greetings Vultures, :)

I am looking for an FMO, preferably in Florida. I just became re-licensed in L/H after several years in restaurant management (I'm an old fart). I was an agent about 20 years ago and have about 5 years prior experience, mostly in debit. I basically only need apps and a ratebook and I'm good to go.

I need either a temporary or permanent situation that can satisfy the following criteria:

-commissions must come directly to me. I will not assign them to anyone else nor will I take less than than normal street (for example: 115 from Monumental). Naturally you would have to have a prior arrangement with the companies giving you higher than street. I will not give up renewals or vesting. I also need a minimum of 6 months advance from whatever company I write for.

-I do not need leads at this time. I will be using my own prospecting methods

-I do not yet have E&O so you would have to have TransAmerica/Stonebridge/Monumental in house (or another company that does not require it at first). I would also prefer you had Oxford in house, too, but I can get that later or on my own.

-If you require a contract yourself I will need to review it and I may need you to sign a "pre-nup" if our "marriage" does not continue to be a happy one. Hopefully there won't be any kids to worry about.

The reason I would prefer to go through an FMO at first is to be able to have someone available for dumb questions that I may have for the first 2 or 3 months. I'll start out with FE and later add Medsups. I have the means to get in front of 50-100 people everyday, 5 days a week so I plan on writing alot of apps.

Amerilife, Onelife, Securus, EFES, LH need not apply.

Please PM me with your website (if you have one) or your phone number and I'll return your call.

Thanks

Jeff

Hmm, so you publicly point out your going to be an instant pain in any marketers rear right off the bat.

Not saying most agents aren't, but that's a lot of instant demands, and referring to them as vultures sure doesn't help.

I know a few people who would have been great uplines for you.

I'm interested to see if they even reply to this thread.

My thinking exactly. Not saying most of his demands were off base. But I can just hear his prospecting method. ""Hey dipstick, I sell insurance, do you want any or not?":embarrassed:

Wow, that's a lot of folks. How are you going to do this?

The old fashioned way, walkin' and talkin'. I have over 10 years experience in direct cold call sales to businesses so it doesn't bother me a bit to do that...and it's good exorcise...errr, I mean...exercise. I can hit 8 to 10 businesses every hour and for 5 hours that's 50. Now each business normally has 2 to 3 people inside that will all at least know what I'm there for. I have a personal brochure that I'll lead with and then leave it for when they have more time to read it over. I include some insurance humor in it so "Marge" can run to the back office and say "Hey, Maggie, listen to this one...." (Of course they will read it sooner or later, it's human nature to do anything but work at ones job). Naturally, my real goal is to set the appointment right then or sit down while they're working (but we won't tell them THAT, will we?). It's the best of both worlds...."sell me now...or sell me later.."

There are only 2 real tricks to any sales. The first is to get people to like you and you do that by using a little humor and a lot of not sounding like a salesman. IMHO, of course. I've seen alot of long winded scripts on here and when I read them I say to myself.."hell, if I heard myself saying that I'd kick my own self out". :D

If any FMO cannot see the humor in that AND see that it's obviously meant to be funny, I would not want to work with them in the first place. I don't need an FMO. I would like to have one. But I can take my license anywhere. All I NEED is an app and a ratebook.

OK...who on here after reading that thought of that movie with Steve Martin (The Jerk) where he's walking around picking stuff up and saying..."this lamp...that's all I need....and...and...this rug...now that's all I need." :D

I misunderstood. When you said "get in front of", I took that to mean a meeting with a qualified prospect.

You mean dealing with a suspect.

Well, yes. I meant getting in front of live bodies. My bad....

Believe it or not I would use that in the right setting, I would leave out the 'dipstick', of course.

That would help you get to that 100 plus people sooner. :1biggrin:

Everything you are asking for sounds like it is directly off my website. Perfect fit.

I'd be glad to talk to you. I have all the companies you mentioned.
