By his own definition he is an old fart that used to run debit routes, wants reasonable commissions, paid direct from the company, release if requested, someone to call with the occasional questions, reasonable advances, and decent companies.

There is no class there. I met with Newby for about an hour and a half today and we both got in trouble with our wives because of it.
Worst part of it is that he recorded the whole thing!

What's this rate book you speak of 
You mean there are still carriers smart enough to not require you to lug a laptop around and hope you updated the software every friggin day or have internet access out on your sales call.
Note to any carriers out there, I can't understand why you think no one wants rate books any more.
