Replaced Foresters Today

Maine's DOI is wacked you can not mention the SGA during the course of making a sale.... Having said that they put out a notice to agent about UCT Medsups about agents "failing" to inform consumers about the lack of SGA coverage on thier products.

I could also mention in Maine it is illegal to door knock a seniors do not only for MA sales but for any insurance product that the senior does not expect you to show up... You can imagine my conversation with the DOI about how to tell a seniors home from anyone else's.

It make me think of Glenn Neasham they have laws on the books and 999 time out of 1000 there is no issue but if someone wants to make an example just watch out.

Maybe seniors in Maine should have to put a special symbol on their doors, so we know not to knock on them?

In every state that I can think of, it is illegal to mention the SGA to make a sale.

Here's a good question...When was the last time any SGA had to make a claim payment on a life product? I don't know the answer to this, but someone may.

Another question...When is the last time a fraternal went out of business and left unpaid life claims?

I do find it funny that the ones who say, "If you sell on price you'll get replaced on price", are the ones who are justifying selling over-priced products.

There's always going to be someone cheaper out there than you EVEN if it means lowering the face amount unless you have had a policy so long and a person is much older. Don't take my word for it, read this thread.

You keep saying that but it's just not the case. As an indpendent agent you can simply pick up the company that is lowest in price if you want to do that.

It's not really about the lowest price anyway. It's about the best value.

I don't understand what you are trying to convey here.

Hey guys, guess what. Today I convinced an 81 year old lady to replace her $25,000 WL policy that she had for 12 years. She was WAY over paying for it, her premiums were costing her $150/mo. I sold her a much more affordable policy that only costs her $35/mo and she gets a big check back from her other company. I suggested she take the family to Branson with it. Her new policy is also for $25,000 (AD&D). WOW, AM I GOOD!!!

NOT!
