RNA Requirements

I still don't have a decision from RNA on this policy. I called on Monday and they said they couldn't discuss the issue with me?? Should I call back? I don't want to upset UW by badgering them. I would like to start our relationship on a good note, but the status hasn't been updated since Friday...

This pretty much mean she has either an MIB or RX hit for something that wasn't disclosed or was answered no on the app. Anytime an insurance company refuses to discuss the issue with you, it means they have knowledge you don't have and they feel they can't disclose it due to HIPAA.

Something is wrong here. Your upline needs to e involved in this. I don't how big your upline is and that will make a difference. I know the folks at EFES would have already had this handled.

Don't try to take them on by yourself.

who cares if you badger them. they wouldn't have a job if not for agents like us. I badger the hell out of underwriters when this crap happens.

Todd King to the rescue!!! Man I call on Monday, and they dont even look at it.:skeptical: Todd calls, says the same thing I did, and this morning my policy is approved:cool:

I think not. No offense meant here, but you should stick with helping your own agents and clients and companies you actually are appointed with.

To Todd. First, run my license bud. Been with RNA for years. Second, check out any of social media sites. Plenty of pics with me on their trips. Third, I actually help agents whether they work for me or not.

Last....you might want to slow your roll a bit.

No offense meant.

He's right. They technically work for you. If its not for the agent, carriers would be out of business.

It's your sale. It's your customer. You get someone who cuts you attitude or doesn't give you answers to your clients issues(to a certain extent), contact their next inline above them. Some carriers have a hard time understand not only customer device but how the relationship between agent and carrier works.

Now...that by all means does not mean be rude or disrespectful to home office staff.

Back to the thread start, VolAgnet pointed out what happens when there is something that isn't on the app where the MIB or RX hit gave a different conclusion or reason to believe it wasn't mentioned on the application. . For privacy laws, for the most part, you are not allowed to disclose that information due to the Hippa laws.

The company will allow a client to write a letter into the company if they decide to not take the risk and they will provide a reason for denial.

It is supposed to be a two party sign here and there and you acknowledge you are signing to release your medical history.

So do you think UW contacted my client? I told them after the PHI that they might contact them.
