Seeking Insurance Suggestion

Hello,

My wife is pregnant and we have been offered insurance options as attached in the document. We are a bit confused on which plan will be best for her and for the baby.

We don't need family insurance. But only my wife and baby will be needing insurance.

I have attached the offered insurance options. The total cost mentioned are per pay period...ie for every 15 days

We will highly appreciate your suggestions.

Plan A looks like a PPO and Plan B looks like an HMO

I don't know what state you are in but if it were Florida you could enroll your newborn in a Platinum plan Off Exchange with a PPO network for much less than the cost for children on the group plan.

Platinum plans in Florida for children average about $200 a month, your group rate for children (whether 1 or 5) is 2 x $236 or $472 a month.

That is a substantial cost savings and the difference could easily cover a Bronze plan for yourself with something left over.
