Selling for Equita

Thanks to everyone for your response on this Thread, I will consider everything that's said. The carriers EFES represent
are: Am Am, Americo, Occidental,Oxford, Presidential, RNA, UHL, Amer Con, and Foresters. I am already appointed with UHL, Foresters, and I believe I am appointed with Amer Con/Genworth. Of all the others listed who can tell me which is the best for rate, %commission rate, and underwriting?
I their premiums are so high that customers don't want or can't afford to pay it's a waste of time.

Underwriting is a tough one, but for low rates and a good company, RNA is great. Americo is decent and they have good smokler rates. Commission % is up to your manager.

If your clientele is like mine, you'll see a ton of people with no checking account and no desire, or ability to get one. A TON of your people will have COPD, or Diabetes w/ other complications.

You'll need a carrier who takes debit cards and who writes unhealthy people and that carrier is Monumental. Americo pays more up front but has ZERO backend.

? You do not get renewals on Americo? Are you talking their HMS term or FE?

Settlers will take monthly direct bill.

EFES made a terrible deal with Americo about a year ago. They pay 10% more the first year with no renewals.

I have been trying to negotiate a deal for myself to get renewals back. I seem to be the lone ranger on that one. Everyone else seems to like the extra 10% first year.

If you contract with Americo elsewhere you will have renewals. I believe it was jacob that told me he got 130% first year and 10% renewals. I don't know who he went through to get that.

Monumental is probably the most difficult carrier to work with that I have ever run across. No, check that, not probably, they are the worst and it's not even close.

I am pretty much done with them. I will use them to get immediate coverage for COPD and credit card payers. That's about it. They do have good rates for people over 80. I may still use them then, but it would have to be a significant savings.

Their start up is $410 for the lowest pack (15 leads, badge, & cards), but u dont have to sign up right away for it to be weekly. After some production your leads are always "fronted" & u pay 10 days later.

is it 410 every week even if the leads have not been received? sounds like it takes a couple of months for them to begin sending the leads to a new producer. that would be $3280 for 120 leads owed. does that sound about right?

No, after the first payment, and there are several options, you only pay for leads received and you pay for them 10 days after getting them.

It doesn't take that long to get leads flowing. It could if you are in a new area to EFES. If they have had an agent there before and they know the area they can get it up to speed pretty quickly. It's also based on how much production you do as to how much they will continue to mail.

One guy that complains on here got over 30 leads from EFES and only made one sale. You can't expect them to keep mailing for someone like that until they show they can do some business.

Regardless of what the recruiters will tell you, EFES is not the place to go is you do not have a clue about FE. It is not as easy as the marketers say. If one is new to the business, get on the broker side with EFES and learn the craft before gettin on the lead program.

Everyone cannot do this. I know they want to tell recruits that they can make $100,000 a year working only 2 or 3 days a week. That's just baloney.

spoke with a guy that uses Securus leads, and his Manager actually teaches them to come on this forum, and others, to intentionally bash the competition...explains all the recent EFES bashes...
