Selling Insurance to low income people?

If there's one thing that's true about this business, it's that your compensation will be in direct proportion to the market that you work...

Not entirely. Your compensation will be in direct proportion to your work ethic, supply of leads, GOOD training, closing abilities, fair (or better) compensation, and A BURNING DESIRE TO SUCCEED.

For ex... lots of LTC agents (selling to higher wealth than "low income") struggle financially. Lots of agents struggle no matter what product, market, income level they deal with.

It's what's great about being independent. You can choose the debit route and hit the inner city slums or you can strive to be "THE" insurance professional for the upper class. Your choice.

For health, you can choose internet leads; average age of 28, average IQ of 100 or you can target small business owners; average age of 40, average IQ of 120.

How silly of me. Of course the folks selling final expense policies to the "living on Social Security" crowd are going to out earn life insurance producers working the high net worth markets.

Don't think you're gonna see too many "Court of the Table" people stomping through the trailer parks though...

I'm sure some FE agents make more than some agents who work with high net worth markets and vice versa. I was not commenting on who outearns who, I was commenting on compensation being tied to the variables I mentioned above. Compensation is not necessarily tied to the market you work, it's tied to work ethic, leads, GOOD training, good closing, professionalism, etc., etc.

The trailer park client is usually for the debit agents who go collect the premium in person each month.

Looking at your avatar I can see why you feel "so silly". (Just joking, it's Fri.).

I would like to join the ILH&AAA organization. It must be great if Paul was the president for 4 years. Does it compete with the organization that is run by Nick and Rick?

It is right that the low income people try to avoid such people who are provoking them towards investing money. But we have to think about it from their point of view. At least try once, you will be able to understand their problems.
