SEP Palooza may continue.....

That's really irrelevant as call centers would have used something else . Honestly i was ok with it going away so could relax a little till aep . But now its full tilt guarding my book and writing heavier

I am not sure how to feel because i have a big book of business with UHC and they just sent out letters that one of the big hospital networks in north and west Florida Ascension and Sacred Heart is going out of network 5/1/25 .Even though they will most likely will come to a contract agreement before then it was going to be a relief that about 300 of my members that use that network wouldn't be able to change after 4/1/25.

I've been through several of those . You sound like much of your business is dual/Lis? I assure you call centers will have the bullseye on those clients scaring and rolling them . And you're incorrect in thinking an agreement is locked up. I went through this with united 18 months ago. Biggest hospital system in a state and it got nasty . They didn't come to an agreement for 9 long months . They were out of network 9 months . They were calling united clients during oep advising them to switch giving them ins agents #'s

about 25% of my book is dual. Was thinking there would at least be some protection from call centers when fema sep ended but that probably wouldn't have slowed them down since they can just use fraudulent seps and get away with it.

what do you mean giving ins agent #?

Locally BCBS (all the insurances they offered across all cliental) and the local university medical system got in a spat. Took 2 YEARS for that to get settled. Meanwhile tons of people had to change systems and lost many of their sub-specialists as the university system is the only one that has most of them. It got pretty ugly. As for many it was employer insurance they didn't have options.

I would not count on an early settlement to any issue.

Tough group of clients . I've made a ton of money with them but 95% of your calls for service and problems with them . With the coming mass lose of Medicaid about to hit this will be a tough mkt . Got Medicaid ,don't ,got ,don't. I'm actually letting some clients who are flipped go . People that have been tough through the yrs .
