Sharing Google Docs

Google Docs sharing is just as simple as computer media player.Just create an account of sharing person and right click on the docs to share with the other person interested. The both accounts will be on gmail-Google ect.

I have a question can you take a link to a google docs and put it in a html email template. I got this email flier i made in word with pictures and background and such but i cant copy it in to the html email template I use whats the best way to put it in?

You can also try 4shared. It is an fully-online storage and file sharing website. You can easily get registered in just a minute.

If you share an excel document over Google, is there a way to make certain cells editable and others locked to only the person who created it?

Just host the doc on your website and have a link to access it. You can do this with .doc or .pdf. If it's sensitive info simply require the person be signed into your website to access it.

Now to edit it together there are plenty of free cloud solutions out there

I have no idea how Google docs works with those who don't have Gmail/Google accounts. I'm guessing not very well, especially if you want them to have the ability to edit.

I've used it for personal things, but not for business. One thing you have to watch out for is that it is tied in with your address book. Better make sure you're only sharing it with the intended person!

Another option, albeit not likely as good as the others that have been mentioned, is the Windows Live Skydrive, which allows you to upload and share 25GB of documents, including MS Office files, PDF's etc. But the only thing I've ever used it for is to backup certain files, most of which I already have backed up elsewhere as well. But it looks like a way to collaborate on MS Office files without emailing back and forth.

I agree. I have unlimited plan with godaddy. I dont mind uploading tons of stuff to my download folder and hosting it.

I find myself having to send emails with screenshots and directions trying to explain how to use google docs, especially with the changed look that uses less word descriptions and more pictures... There is an option just to share the document, you have to change your settings to have those who have the link able to view it, but if you want them to edit the only thing I would say is have them make a google account, but by then it's a lot of steps in between you and your client - your call.
