I have a client that needs an STM policy for one month before her Medicare starts. She was turned down by Golden Rule because for a brief period she took Metformin to lower her blood sugar. Her doctor has taken her off of the Metformin but that did not matter to Golden Rule, and she takes nothing to control her blood sugar. Is there another carrier that would consider her for coverage?

Golden Rule declines STM clients? Thats news to me.

Consider her for a policy? Ofc. Cover her pre-x's? Nope.

Yes, goldenrule puts all stm clients in pending, checks mib and rx mib, and then approves or declines after couple days. I will find it tough to write them given this obstacle

Yeah I cant write GR. Too expensive, no copays or any coverage whatsoever until client reaches a high deductible. Noone wants it, so I stopped carrying it
