Short Term Plans New Rule

Sam I am this is confusing:

Actually I've seen this from 3 carriers now. It will go as stated

January 1, 2017 12 Months for all states except MO, SC and AZ
January 2, 2017-January 28, 2017 11 Months for all states except MO and AZ
February 1, 2017-February 28, 2017 10 Months for all states except MO and AZ
March 1, 2017-March 28, 2017 9 Months for all states except MO and AZ NOTE: Applications cannot be dated after March 20, 2017 to get these effective dates.
April 1 and later 3 Months Maximum and

I thought we had up until April 1st 2017 to write a short term that would last thru December 31st, 2017 ?

That one was from Philadelphia American but National General will let you right thru 12/31/2017
 
Same ruling that is coming down from BlueKC, any sold by 3/31 stay all year, after that.... ? I hope this idiocy is Trumped.

Hopefully when the new HHS secretary is named, he/she will set up suggestion boxes for various stakeholders to submit requests.
