I randomly stumbled upon Final Expense and I came to website for a top Lincoln Heritage manager.
When I went to a meeting, the manager was a very great and like minded person to me. The opportunity sounded great as well, and for that reason I jumped on board. I would usually research thoroughly, but I felt this was the right opportunity for me since we had so much in common and he is a good, honest man.
However, after joining this forum a few weeks ago, it seems LH is sort of the laughing stock of the industry.
I am committed to this manager but if LH is really that bad and there is better opportunity elsewhere (being independent, etc.), it isn't fair for me to stay just because of that.
I do not think Lincoln is a bad company by any means. The Funeral Consumer Guardian Society aspect is a strong selling point, the home office is great, and our managers/regional manager are great people.
You can make a lot of money when you become a manager, etc. and even as an agent, but I don't want to put in all my time and energy to this company if it is a bad way to go.
And especially if there are other products which are equivalent and cheaper for the customer.
If you have any advice, and/or if you are an independent agent or one who trains independent agents, I would be open to a phone conversation if you'd like.
I am very hard working, determined, and ambitious.
If you are with Lincoln Heritage and reading this, please do not get the wrong idea. I am not ready to jump ship, I just want to make sure I am in the right place.
Thank you.
Like Lincoln and really every other agency, it comes down to (a) what YOU are willing to put in, and (b), who your upline manager/trainer is and what they bring to the table.
The guy that runs one of the regions in California is a stand-up individual, but ultimately you have to decide if representing Lincoln is right for YOU, because no one is effective as a salesperson slinging something they do not BELIEVE in.
Here and here are a few recent threads with more information on Lincoln Heritage.
