Social Security Statement Confusions...

Correct. I've been doing this for years and never had calls on this, especially not to the magnitude of calls.

It's telling them how much will be deducted our of SSA for 2025, showing the wrong amounts (prior year's plan). SSA is telling clients it can take up to 3 months for this to reflect and pay accurately.

At this point I have received 30 phone calls on this and each one of them were submitted prior to 11/15.

As indicated in the post. This individual changed their plan in early November. They received a letter in early January still showing the wrong data.

Something seems off.
I went hunting to see if I could document what I said.

I have a "Your New Benefit Amount" statement from SS received in 2018 showing my 2019 pdp premium deduction will be $32.10.

On Dec 24, 2018 I received a letter from SSA.

"There has been a change in the amount withheld for you Medicare prescription drug plan costs."

Later in the letter it shows the "correct" 2019 PDP premium of $21.80.

And... while I was putting those papers away, I spotted another letter dated Dec 8, 2022 -- exact same thing, correcting PDP deduction in upcoming year's SS checks.

So, As I have said, this is not a new thing and it is not a fishy thing.

The apparent shift this year from sometime in Dec to sometime in Jan for the notification info to be coming out also makes perfect sense to me in light of agent comments about SS staffing problems and SS contact problems.

I am waiting for my letter this year letting me know that my PDP premium has changed from $0 (WC) to $0 (BC) :D .

(LostDollar is not answering his phone or email so I am unable to get further clarification from my agent.)

Had a call today from a customer saying she had the premium taken out for her 2024 Silverscript PDP instead of the new 2025 WellCare $0/mo plan.
I confirmed that she is in fact enrolled in the wellcare plan. Anyone else something like this happen?

I assume it will autocorrect eventually?
