Sons of Norway?

Finally got someone to answer the phone this afternoon after numerous attempts and messages. Got to talk with one of the top dogs and told him of my situation and he assured me that it would be corrected. Found out that WaylonA was correct about the membership fee. It is only $24 even though the application plainly states $60. Told to just cross out $60 and write $24. Don't know why they can't print applications with the correct cost. Ask where you find where the fee is just $24, but was told it was and shown what to do.
If they reprinted the brochure, they'd have to raise the rates.

Security National Life has typos on their app also. They say 3 yes answers is a knockout but if you call them they'll tell you it actually takes 4 yeses.

I am in the process of getting appointed. However, I am being told that I (the contracting agent) have to become a "member" and pay the $60 annual membership fee. And annually thereafter to remain appointed. However, they will pick up my state appointment fees.

Is this for real? Has anyone else, who is appointed, paid this membership fee?

I filled out the paperwork 3 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing from them. I never heard about having to join and pay a membership fee. Slow as molasses.

Yes you do have to pay $60 to become a member. If yòu don't they will not issue your applications or pay commissions. Ì just got paid on my first case and they annualized 100% of the FYC. The policy Ì received did not have any brochure explaining what benefits you get as a member. I assume they are similar to those that you get from AARP.

How long did they take to issue the policy?

I suppose you get to ride along on any future expeditions and participate in any of the pillaging and plundering that may ensue. ;)

I was thinking perhaps a Norwegian maiden. :twitchy:
