Quick update on Oscar: Things aren't looking good.

Enrollment in their new small group product started 4/1.

By 4/4, due to a lack of business, they removed participation requirements.

Rate filings were just released by the DFS. As of 5/17/17, Oscar reported 1 life in a small group plan. DFS reported 0, but they measure as of 3/31.

    Seriously: https://myportal.dfs.ny.gov/web/prior-approval/oscar/sg-offx-epo-ohin-131034744

Health insurance for "Hipsters". LMAO. So to qualify, do you need to have a neckbeard, your hair in a "man bun" and be receiving severance pay from Radio Shack?

Those are the west coast hipsters.

East coast hipsters are clean shaven, have thick rimmed glasses, wear their hair short on the sides and slicked back on top, and have an affinity for flannel shirts with unbuttoned collars or untucked polos.

Just check their lunch room and you'll see what I mean

Those aren't hipsters. That's lunch time at the LL Bean catalog studios.

Our hipsters are basically LL Bean models.

I'm being totally serious, that's literally a picture from Oscar's lunch room.

I dress like that........ on days I work from home. Although most of my flannel shirts are as old as the 20 somethings in that photo.

Im not that familiar with Oscar. They claim to give a "curated experience" with "select" medical providers.

Sounds fancy. Real life definitions seems to be more like "you have just a few options for healthcare". Or maybe "you get the doctors we say you get"... and its a whole lot less than what Blues gives you.
