South Carolina Nonstandard Auto - Driver Exclusions

Does anyone here write nonstandard (aka specialty) auto in SC? How do you as an agency/agent deal with the state law regarding exclusions? How do your carriers/MGAs deal with it? My understanding of the law is household residents can only be excluded if they have a surrendered license or can demonstrate separate coverage on another policy. Is this a pain point for anyone else?

SC law: Section 38-77-340 states that you are correct. The license must be turned in or other coverage MUST be in place, such as a non-owned auto insurance policy.
