Starting in Final Expense

When I was a kid, we traveled to my auntie's house in rural central Texas one Sunday. Lunch was served with several bowls of vegetables and one big bowl of cream gravy with some odd-shaped lumps. My mom leaned over and whispered to warn me not to eat any lumpy stuff in the gravy. After we finished and left, I asked mom what the lumps were. She replied that it was WHATEVER walked across their property that morning...

Haha, hilarious! Sounds like something out of a thriller

The African American community here in the south where I live has always been a good group to target with final expense. If you live in a large urban area that has a sizable African American population. I try to target people ages 45-80 urban or rural with an annual income of $15,000-50,000.

I am with a FE telesales co. now and a newbie, no training. Just a script. Well I have over thought this product and process to death. I always felt I needed to be prepared and know what I was selling so that I could speak with confidence etc. My training material wasn't more than a recording of a broken up pitch opne way ( no role playing.) So a brochure and a a script are all I basically had to self train. The result was that after every line of script, I spent hours and hours of role playing (to myself) of the potential questions and responses a customer may give. I have just floundered and made this process so complicated that I've just locked up. I have been dealing with homowners of all ages ,for over 25 years but never in the insurance field. I am looking for guidance on how to work in a southen metro area (Birmingham) and just try to help people and learn this busness. I have experience and willingness where should I turn , after this 2 month flop? Help! David in Birmingham

David,

Sorry to hear you're in this spot. Please give me a call. I'll be glad to help you, whether or not we ever do business together.

That reminds me of my previous job as a series 3 futures broker. First day at work, the senior broker hands me a stack of number cards, a half page script and told me to find an open phone in a bull pen and start calling. After about 2 hours of being hung up on I tried to smooth out the script and the senior broker overheard me. I've never heard so many foul words come out of someone's mouth in such a short time. Why don't you fire the co. and start on your own?

Royal Neighbors has a good FE plan along with other types of life. Good company.

There are much better companies.... they order too many APS's on their FE and they take too long on their other products. My sales are much smoother without them. But they are good for heart meds and fat people.

I wrote 3 RNA's last tues. and was paid on them on Fri.. I wrote 2 on Thurs. and was paid on them on Mon. I wrote 2 on Tues of this week and was paid on them today.

They are the easiest company to deal with that I have and I have about 20 FE companies to use. Plus, they have the best rates and their member benefits are untouchable.

What company would think is better? Foresters? Surely you wouldn't try to put lipstick on that pig.

If you are going to offer your clients the best value for thier money, you can't not have RNA available.
