Starting in Final Expense

slittle,

what part of OR are you from?

I too am thinking about starting in FE and am a newbie to ins sales. I have been contacted by LHLIC. anyone know of other companies selling in Oregon? Thanks

Another question. How does one get contracted by more than one company?

RNA is also my go to Company but recently had to use Foresters b/c RNA would not even accept two cases for their graded DB product. I called the RNA risk analysis team while i was there and gave the meds they were taking i.e. plavix for more then 2 years (no strokes) while I was there and both times the U/W said they would be good. Nope.

I will use Foresters as the 1st back up even though i will have to come back and do it all over again. Before what i did was also get the application filled out with UHL graded as a back up to save time for both me and the client.

I may even start to use them 50/50 b/c even though I don't like to do phone interviews during those days I have many appts...then again, the time it takes to write all the Dr.s info and write down the meds I could be halfway done with it.

Thoughts from the more experienced FE folks?

I was wondering if someone would share a good phone script both in Spanish and English.

I would also like to see a proven phone in-take sheet that would minimize the time spent on a call, while capturing maximum information to use for a quote, and pre-application process.

I also buy aged FE leads for California.

Update about Foresters. I get email after email about the applications I send in to fax in missing pages. I have faxed some pages over 3 times and still can't get those certs issued. I have never ever had that problem with RNA so far. Knock on wood and a knock on foresters.

I have been selling FE for a little over a year. I have always used Medicare as my in at the door. If I determine through the conversation that they are insurable, I NEVER leave the house without asking what I have found to be a KILLER final expense question to start them talking: "Are they still making you pay for your life insurance or is that all paid up?" It eliminates the "yes - no" answer and "I am not interested". Two days ago I wrote a $226/mo policy just because I made them a client, then asked that question. Try it. You will be surprised how much it will increase your sales.
