Superior Access Vs Smartchoice

UV is a high end. Just an example and is hardly for everyone. there are organizations for starter agents. Having a broker mentor you is a great alternative to joining a cluster. Find a broker willing to teach you and bind policies with his carriers for a commiss split?

It's all about relationship. UV wants the $2mil book agents for a reason, Superior Access will sign on anyone with a credit card and ability to pay the monthly.

With these clusters, binding authority is usually non-existent for the producers and all producers want is service of the policies (or quote requests) as well as timely commission payments.

Splash, Suggest you contact the Agent Associations in your State, like the PIA and Independent Agents for suggestions. Also, you should do an Internet search for 'insurance franchises', adding your State to the search. Don't be afraid of franchises that can get you some serious market access, training, on-hands support and provide a lot of features for you that are costly for you to purchase on your own. Some are better than others, of course so you need to ask for the ability to talk to some of their current franchisees.
Don't be deterred by their franchise fees until you check them out thoroughly. Even at $40,000 or $50,000, they can be very cost-effective, depending on the features and benefits that they might provide. Ask if they provide E&O for you...some do...and if they pay for your agency management system, leads, etc. Some have great programs that can save you money in year-one. Just do your homework.
All the best to you.
Let me know if I can help you further with any advice.

Hello,

I wanted to get a personal opinion from a few vets as to which cluster they would consider to be the better choice based on information that they have collected on the two companies. I am new to the P&C industry and actually narrowing down my options. Thanks in advance for all comments.

I looked at Global Green, but the 160 page contract, hurt my eyes. especially, when I read after 10 yrs, You have to re new, at 25% of your commisions. And if you decide not to re-new, guess what? They take over your lease and take your book..HELLO!

PhilL give me your contact info if possible. i would love to talk with you more. Thanks
