Yeah exactly. Ok flowing brook, how bout I spend a $1000 on a direct mail campaign and then pay you $15 an hour to call people that are interested already?

Hey yall, had to bring this thread up. Found myself a good telemarketer.
Now I'm thinking about the tax implications of having one. How do you have your telemarketers set up? I am not incorporated so I can not have her set up with a W2, do yall have your telemarketers set up as a 1099, or do you just pay them under-the-table?

I pay them 1099. They all work remotely and it's the cleanest way to do it.

how do i set up a 1099 (aside from printing the form and filling it out), do i just submit it with my taxes when I file?

You have them fill out a w9 and then you file the 1099 at the end of the year. Then you write off the expense as contract labor.
