Hey Folks:
It looks like Val has done a great job here. To be honest I saw your old site and I dont want to be unkind but it simply looked amateurish in design and did not look appealing whatsoever. I noticed though, that it had some interesting material and once you got past the design, the information and posts seemed pretty cool.
I also had a site designed by Val. I couldnt be happier with his work! Originally to be honest I was a bit shy in hiring someone overseas for my site. Over a period of time while working with Val he won me over with his thoughtfulness, honest business approach and extreme patience. The custom work turned out beautiful and I am simply stunned by his dedication. I think a few american web-developers could take some lessons from Val.

Slow page loads... anybody else?
I love this site (Insurance Forums) and thanks to all who participate with their advice and etc. Bravo to the founder and support team... My only gripe is that it takes almost a minute for each page to load while looking at a black screen. I am running hi speed road runner (of course, what else) and I am wondering if anyone else is having the same problems as I am having.

There are several issues that contribute to the slowness of the loading. One is the actual speed of our server, which can use an upgrade, another is the actual size of the page, including all of the graphics and avatars, and another is the number of database queries that it takes to get some of the stats that we have enabled, like the number of unread posts, users who have read a thread etc...
We are looking very hard at some possible solutions. Obviously, we would prefer not to sacrifice functionality if we can find an alternate solution. Please be patient, and things will change.

Thank you for the quick reply... I will be patient because even with the slow page loads, the content of your forum is certainly worth waiting for. I have learned a lot of useful tips the short time I have been a member. Thanks again mel.
