The Salesman Who Doesn't Sell

When you have people approaching you to buy life insurance, this really becomes an enjoyable business and puts you in control of how much you will make, who you are going to work with, and how you are going to run your business.

If you are working face to face, grinding out prospects for yourself daily, working clients for referrals, networking, etc. to find your next client....that's a tough business where many agents fail.

What if a large group of guys got together and forum marketed with "signature" and drove traffic to the site? It's organic and it's free. http://www.retirementplanningstore.com

pretty much the job description of a new life agent.

cool article, good for him. guy isn't an insurance salesman he's a marketing/seo guy. those skills are very lucrative but competitive. it states his clients go nonmed even though it's more expensive. not just a little more expensive by the way. this guy is no different than 100 other term quote co's.

I think there's a double edged sword to this.

The good: good on this guy for changing the approach and making life products far more accessible to people.

The bad: without consulting an agent, people may think they need far less or, less likely, far more than they actually do. Sure, they may have a burden off their minds, but it may be an insufficient amount once their family needs it.

Personally, I think this guy should implement a system that at least tries to get clients in touch with a local agent to further discuss their needs. I see his site as a start to a process, not a be-all/end-all.
