Tired of HHS "Big Brother" Attitude

"BIG BROTHER" HHS is now publicly trashing health insurers whom it deems have enacted rate increases which they feel are excessive.

This poor company gets called-out for a relatively meager 12% rate increase in Pennsylvania last month.

HHS can squeal like a pig, but Obamacare apparently gives them no authority (thank goodness) to affect the premiums. Apparently, Sebelius doesn't like this particular company, because 12% premium increases are commonplace.

Out of curiosity, how do you know if the 12% increase is warranted or not?

What drives me nutz is you only see complaints about Health Insurance premiums...HHS doesn't say that Doctors or Hospitals are overcharging or that there is overutilization or that the average American is Fat and works and office job these days....Its all the evil insurance companies fault.

Simple answer is, you don't.

But HHS doesn't have to prove anything. All they need do is say it and people will believe it.

Kind of like saying a carrier that makes a $200 million profit is raping their policyholders. Forget that the profit breaks down to $5 per policyholder. That doesn't matter.
